Practical
career guidance for women.
Helping women navigate change and build careers they love.
We believe career change skills are essential in our fast-changing world. That’s why we empower women with the knowledge and tools to take advantage of all the opportunities available now.
Our unique approach to career guidance and education.
If the only career guidance you’ve ever had was a one-off encounter with a career advisor back in high school, it’s no wonder you’re feeling lost in your career right now. Most of us weren’t set up with the knowledge and skills needed to make the career decisions and transitions we face across our lives.
Things have come a long way since those early days of career education, but finding the right support can be challenging.
At What She Did Next, our services are tailored for women seeking a career change. Our approach combines evidence-based tools and strategies with real-world stories and experiences, to provide the support you need in a relatable and practical way.
Our story.
What She Did Next started as a podcast showcasing the inspiring career change stories of women across Australia. Since launching in 2020, the show has clocked up 25,000+ listens, charted in the Top 5 Careers podcasts in Australia and ranked in the Best 50 Australian Women Podcasts.
Creator and host Jacqui Ooi says: “I started this podcast because I wanted to shine a light on women making brave leaps in their careers, to inspire other women and learn from each other’s experiences. By sharing our stories, we can help each other overcome barriers and discover exciting new possibilities for our next chapter.”
Expanding into career education.
Recognising the lack of support for career changers and the challenges women can face, What She Did Next expanded into career education and guidance for women.
Our six-week Career Change Kickstarter program is one of the most comprehensive of its kind in Australia, supporting women through all aspects of the career change process from mindset shifts to career exploration to landing your ideal role.
Our goal is to empower women with essential knowledge and tools to create a happier, healthier work life and build a meaningful career.
